AutoClave Testing We
recommend pre-locking the BarbLock® Collet when AutoClaving is required.
For maximum holding power final assembly should take place after the cycle is
complete.

The BarbLock® 500-Series Ultra-Secure Tubing Retainer shown undergoing autoclave
testing. The retainers were subjected to a total of 3 one hour cycles @ 130° C
and 17 PSI. The components were then tested for dimensional stability, pull off
strength, and sealing properties. The results for pre-locked & stand alone
autoclaved retainer samples are equal in every respect to pristine BarbLock®
Sleeve & Collets.
