The Stainless Steel Jaws of the Assembly Tool are designed to allow the customer to assemble the Sleeve & Collet into a BarbLock® assembly. The upper and lower jaws are designed to capture and contain the pre-locked Sleeve and Collet. We designed the jaws to be interchangeable allowing the tool to be inverted if required for your convenience. Important note: Damage will result with the assembly when the series of the assembly device does not match to the series of the BarbLock® components i.e. (TB01250S = TB01250RA / TB01375S = TB01375RA / TB01500S = TB01500RA)

Locking sequence: Starting with the Pre-Locked assembly

While wearing your safety glasses...
  • Place the Pre-Locked assembly into the saddle of the Upper or Lower Jaw. (Diagram A)
  • Make sure that the base of the Collet sits flat against the support shelf. (Diagram B)
  • Close the pliers so that the rear of the jaw’s support shelf covers the Sleeve. (Diagram B)
  • Continue closing the pliers with a ratcheting motion, pushing the Collet into the Sleeve.
  • You will hear and feel a click when the Collet has locked into the Sleeve’s Lock ring. (Diagram C)
  • The bottom of the Sleeve will be even with the bottom of the Collet when assembly is locked.
